It might be a good idea to take some water into AE and have them do a test on pretty much everything....or, maybe to another club member near you.
Is the water chemistry messed up, or is this related to your other post about your new MH lights? What are your water parameters right now?

I've never had to deal with that but, I would think you'd be ok to just let it completely dry out to kill anything. You could also use a mild...
Jelly fish are pretty bizarre anyway !!
