Have you tried another heater? That seems very unlikely with a heater that big

its brand new. it never shuts off. i had a different 300 and had to run another 100 to get it up to 76. i figured they were just old. so, my 300 quit working so i bought a new one.

Just add another heater. And then they will stop running once it.reaches. the desired temp. Even if you get another tank. You will still have to over compensate for the cold basement temps

I know several people that have sumps on cement basement floors, or carpet with cement directly under it, and they had temperature issues. You can take blue board and put the sump on it. This should help solve your issue.

    Hope this helps!

I would make sure your heater is heating feel the glass tube. Just because light is on dont mean its heating. Also new heaters fail a lot.

Like Kyle said they fail. Just because its new it could be flawed. Also you could get pipe insulation to put around tubing. I did it for all my water pipes in the basement.
