Astrea snail has shed shell

    I have a large astrea snail that is shellless tonight. He is on the front glass, and his shell is sitting below him. I've never seen anything like this. Is he doomed? Nothing is bothering him. I suppose the hermits will get it tonight.

    The lights were out before I thought of taking a pic. I took one in the dark, but it's kind of fuzzy. If it's still there today, I'll take a shot. I felt sorry for the poor guy.
