A word of warning about treating with Flatword Exit when you have a significant infestation...

Do you have the rust colored ones or the clear ones? If it's the latter, good effin' luck. The rust colored ones on the other hand are pretty east to treat and eradicate.

If they are the red ones, get a six line.... It will keep them under control.

I used to have a six line wrasse, but he wanted to live on the carpet ....didn't work out for him. I currently have a Leopard wrasse....I would think they would also eat them, but maybe not. Do you think a Leopard and six-line would co-exist ok?
These are rust colored and about 3 to 4 mm long and maybe 1 to 1.5 mm wide.
btw....where do these things come from? ...weren't there before....and now I have lots....???

Yes those are red planeria (I suck at spelling) siphon out as many as you can with a air line tubing over several days then treat with a double dose of flat worm exit. Don't run carbon or do a water change for at least 4 hours (yes I know that's not what the directions say but if you fallow the directions some always survive then your back to square one) wait 3 days and then do a tripple dose of flat worm exit. Then buy a six line, four line, or a yellow corris wrase to prevent them from ever coming back

How big is yoru Leopard wrasse getting? They are one of my favorites! We were talking about a melenarus wrasse in another discussion, but that would foot the bill too. IDK as far as compatibility with the leopard wrasse though, but the melenarus sure works for planeria, that's why I got mine in the first place. I didn't even have to help him out by siphoning, he was a 2.5" fella when I got him and over the course of about 2 weeks he wiped out a massive colony of probably 10s of thousands (not exaggerating). I recall you had asked me about mine on the tank tour last month.

The Leopard is about 2 inches, maybe a little more. However, he's not interested in eating the flat worms. I remember your wrasse - beautiful - however, I only have a 60g so I'm thinking he wouldn't be too happy.

Andy - I just read your other post about "reef safe wrasses" ....I definitely can't get a melenarus. I have a fire shrimp and a cleaner shrimp...from your description, one or both would be toast.
