I NEED SUGAR SAND - any reccomendations

I need 150 lbs. of sugar sand pretty quick.  Any ideas on the best place to get it?  Thanks,

I hink the cheapest places have been online orders at Dr F&S and/or PetCo. I think someone locally said they had some used stuff. Not sure who it was though.

 

Become a member and I have a lot of sugar sand available for you to pick up. It's seeded with the bacteria to cycle your tank and I can help make arrangements for pickup. But it will require you picking it up.

Petsmart has the cheapest sugar sand if your gonna buy new. Cheaper than fosters. Thats where I got mine. I got 75 lbs for under 45 bucks I believe. Pretty cheap.

 

That is cheap...I think when I was pricing it out, about $0.80/lb was the best I could find. Just make sure that the sand is aragonite!

Wow, that's crazy cheap if it was argonite!

 

Check out www.marcorocks.com thats were I got sand for my DSB. They sell it for $109 for 160#. It is sugar fine araonite and the shipping is included in price. You do need to rinse it well before use.
