Does anybody have any suggestions or recommendations for these? I am kinda sick of using the big, bulky individual timers that end up taking two outlets...

I think its Coralife that makes a power strip with built in timers. The strips have two outlets for daylight timer, actinic timer and then an outlet that is activated when the actinic timer switches off. This way you can use it for moonlight. I can't remember for sure but I think the strip even had one or two constant power outlets as well.

Thanks Pete H.. I'll have to check those out! And I saw the ones you were talking about Drewster, but I read that they were starting a lot of electrical fires. Otherwise I would definitely choose that one since it has multiple timers.

I think coralife is right. I had one and it worked great for several years. Spilled some water on it during a water change one time that put it out of commission.
If you have a lot of things that you are interested in controlling you can't beat an APEX. Its hard to justify the price at first, but I don't think I would have a tank without one anymore.

Been using coralife timer for like 10yrs now. On my halides.
Just gotta change watch battery every couple years so clock stays correct when power goes out.
    Highly recommend

+1 to the one from menards it works like a charm for my lights because I have four plugs just for lights so it worked out perfect and it keeps pretty good time. It does make a click when the power gets cut but that's it
